　　伦敦大学国王学院教授琳恩·弗雷泽的研究显示，豆制品中的染料木黄酮能模仿雌激素作用影响小鼠的精子。实验发现，染料木黄酮对人类精子的影响更大，少量的这种化学物质就可能使人精子“烧掉”，失去生殖能力。弗雷泽说，如果女性食用大豆和其他富含染料木黄酮的食物，对男性生育能力的影响可能更大，因为这种化学物质很可能在精子进入女性体内使女性受孕时对精子产生影响。
