最近，美国哈佛大学的研究人员报告，长期应用小剂量的华法林可预防血栓性疾病、深静脉栓塞和肺栓塞病人血栓复发。研究结果将发表在４月１０日的ＮＥｎｇｌＪＭｅｄ上。

该研究纳入了５０８例有血栓病史、接受过标准治疗的病人，他们随机分别接受安慰剂或小剂量华法林治疗。对研究对象进行随访，以观察哪些病人静脉血栓栓塞复发、发生大出血以及死亡情况。该临床试验在进行４年后停止，研究得出了阳性结果。在分配接受安慰剂治疗的２５３例病人中，３７例静脉血栓栓塞复发，相比之下，在２５５例接受小剂量华法林治疗的病人中只有１４例发生复发。研究人员称，这使复发危险下降了６４％。另外，安慰剂治疗者有２例、华法林治疗者有５例发生了大出血。研究人员称，经其他危险因素校正后，采用小剂量华法林治疗的病人静脉血栓栓塞复发的危险下降了７６％～８１％。
