　　新华网北京7月28日电(记者崔军强)明年奥运会举办时，高温潮湿的八月北京有望变成鲜花的海洋。通过改变花期等技术手段，科研人员已找到为奥运会增加色彩的良策。

　　28日在北京举行的“夏季奥运花卉新品种优选和栽培应用研究”项目验收会上，评审专家得出结论，采用促控栽培新技术，自然花期不同的花卉种类或品种可在夏季同期开花，并在北京奥运会举办的8月份达到最佳观赏效果。

　　在北京的夏季，通常只能见到十几种盛开的鲜花，大多数花卉要么早已凋零，要么还远未达到含苞待放。科研人员经过努力，优选出夏季奥运花卉206种、400多个品种。

　　在北京海淀公园举行的“2007奥运花卉展示会”，在

北京奥运会开幕倒计时一周年前后，由科研人员精心培育的一批以往8月份无法自然开花的花卉，将以鲜艳的花朵迎接参观者。(完）
